Policy Statement
This policy sets out the values, principles and procedures underpinning the service’s approach to providing information for prospective users.

We provide this information in line with the requirements of Regulation 19: Information About the Service of the Regulated Services (Service Providers and Responsible Individuals) (Wales) Regulations 2017 and statutory guidance.
The policy should be used with others on pre-service and commencement of service arrangements, including:

- Pre-Service and Commencement of Service
- Responding to Requests for Service
- Self-funding and Direct Payments Arrangements
- Contracts and Agreements and Termination of Service.

- allow a reasonable amount of time to enable prospective users to make informed choices
- co-operate fully with other providers and professionals who might be involved in any current or future service provision
- provide full information about the service’s fees and related charges and contractual matters, including termination of service
- discuss with each person how they would like to have their care provided
- discuss with each person how they would like to organise their care
- include as part of the information and discussion the service’s duty of care to make sure that the person is kept safe and its approach to safeguarding
- make available, or show how to find, recent and previous Care Inspectorate Wales inspection reports on the service and the assessments made.
