1. Purpose

2. Scope
This policy applies to all staff, contractors, and maintenance personnel working at any height where there is a risk of injury from falls. This includes but is not limited to:
- Using ladders, scaffolding, or mobile elevated platforms (MEWPs).
- Working on roofs, balconies, or raised platforms.
- Accessing ceilings, gutters, or exterior walls for maintenance or repairs.
- Installing or replacing light fittings, security systems, or decorations.
- Any activity requiring staff to work above ground level.

- Facilities and Maintenance Staff: Responsible for carrying out work at height tasks safely and reporting any issues.
- All Staff: Must follow safe practices, use proper equipment, and report hazards immediately.
12. Compliance and Enforcement
Failure to comply with this policy may result in:
- Internal disciplinary action for negligence or unsafe practices.
- Suspension of work until compliance is ensured.
- Regulatory action or penalties from external authorities such as the HSE or CQC.
