Statement of Purpose Policy
1. Purpose

- The Registered Provider and Responsible Individual who must ensure compliance with all regulatory requirements.
- The Registered Manager, who is responsible for ensuring the Statement of Purpose is maintained, updated, and available to CIW, staff, residents, and their families.
- All staff members, who must be aware of the contents of the Statement of Purpose and work within its parameters.
- Prospective and existing residents and their families, who have the right to access the Statement of Purpose to understand the services provided.
3. Compliance with CIW Regulations
Our Statement of Purpose is structured in accordance with Part 2, Regulation 7 of the Regulated Services (Service Providers and Responsible Individuals) (Wales) Regulations 2017, which requires that:
- The Statement of Purpose accurately describes the care home’s aims and objectives, services provided, and the needs of individuals the service is designed to meet.
- The document is reviewed regularly and updated when any changes occur that may impact the service.
- A copy is submitted to CIW whenever updates are made and at the time of registration or re-registration.
- It is made available to residents, their families, and other relevant stakeholders upon request.
